Herbal head spa & healing rituals in Hanoi’s Old Quarter
At Nàng Tấm, our idea is simple: let every guest leave lighter than they came. We wash, steam and massage with Vietnamese herbs — soapberry, pomelo leaf, lemongrass, ginger — brewed fresh each morning, in the hands of therapists trained in the traditional way.
The name comes from the Vietnamese fairy tale of Tấm, who was wronged many times and always came back, gentler and more radiant, until she stepped out of a golden persimmon. That return to yourself is what we hope to give you.
Our three-storey house at 04 Nguyễn Hữu Huân blends old Hanoi — wood, lacquer, patterns of the Lý and Trần dynasties — with calm, modern comfort. Five minutes from Hoàn Kiếm Lake, a world away from the street outside.

01Do I need to book in advance?
Booking ahead is recommended, especially in the evening. The online form takes about a minute and we confirm by WhatsApp or email within an hour during opening hours. No payment is taken online.
02What are your opening hours?
We are open Daily 09:30 – 22:30. The last treatment starts at 21:00.
03Are there any hidden fees?
No. The price on the menu is what you pay: VAT is included, there are no service charges, and tipping is entirely up to you. You pay at the spa after your treatment.
04What is a Vietnamese herbal head spa?
A slow hair-wash ritual with herbs brewed fresh each morning — soapberry, pomelo leaf, lemongrass and ginger — combined with a massage of the head, neck and shoulders. It relieves tension, calms the mind and leaves your hair soft and fragrant.
05Which treatment should I choose for my first visit?
For a short break, Gội Mây (Cloud Herbal Hair Wash, 45 minutes) is a gentle introduction. For the full experience, choose our signature Nghi Lễ Ngọc (Jade Ritual, 90 minutes). Our reception is happy to help you decide.
06Do your staff speak English?
Yes, our reception speaks English, and our menu is available in Japanese, Korean, Chinese and Russian.
07Can I come with friends or family?
Of course. We can welcome up to 6 guests at the same time. For larger groups, please message us on WhatsApp so we can prepare.
08How do I find you?
We are at 04 Nguyễn Hữu Huân, Hoàn Kiếm — about five minutes on foot from Hoàn Kiếm Lake. Walk north on Đinh Tiên Hoàng, turn right on Lò Sũ, then left on Nguyễn Hữu Huân, the café street.
